A group of advocates for Hawaiʻi tenants is warning landlords that they may face serious legal consequences, including possible liability for substantial money damages, if they attempt to evict tenants during the emergency ban on evictions.

Federal and state class action lawsuits filed on behalf of tenants at Kuhio Park Terrace and Kuhio Homes cites unsafe conditions and lack of access for disabled tenants.
